Cool Down with the City's Chillest Slushies 🗽😋🍧

Who doesn’t love slushies? Crazy people, that’s who.

From 7-11 Slurpees all the way down to your favorite dive bars happy hour slush; slushies are icy, sweet, and if you’re lucky a little boozy; but always refreshing.

So, with that in mind, we present some of NYC’s hottest spots for cool frozen goodness.

Mother’s Ruin (18 Spring St, Manhattan)

What’s better than a slushie? Well, a slushie with alcohol, of course.

Create your own concoction of fruity goodness and boozy

Be sure to check their Instagram, as their menu is regularly offers new items.

The Bonnie (29-12 23rd Ave, Astoria)

thebonniebar

The Bonnie prides itself on serving the best cocktails and bar food in Queens.

And, not for nothin, they just might be. Options include “Sweet Peach Tea” and the “Dirty Pickle Martini,” not to mention all the food treats.

It’s only getting better; their summer menu aims to kick things up a notch.

Their latest addition? A Kelvin Natural “Moscow Mule” slushie. Made with organic ingredients, it’s the perfect frozen summer cocktail to beat the heat.

Mango Mango Dessert (63 Bayard St, Manhattan)

For fresh fruit, especially mangos, you can’t beat this place. The “Snow White” slush options are the highlight and are available in many different flavors including, strawberry, watermelon, and green tea.

Our favorite? The cantaloupe. OMG, it’s everything.

But the mango is a close 2nd. VERY close.

Ippudo (65 4th Ave, Manhattan)

Beer. Slushies. Beer. Slushies.

Those are the thoughts that will be streaming through your mind at this Japanese favorite.

The menu must, other than the ramen (of course) is the beer slushie.

It’s chilly, crisp, and altogether a home run for your summer palette.

Say Ippudo, never Ippudon’t.

Skinny Dennis (152 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn)

pounce

If it’s a honky-tonk bar in the heart of Williamsburg that you’re after, then look no further.

Also, it’s also home to what has been dubbed the “Best Boozy Drink in NYC” by Gothamist -- the Frozen Coffee.

Part coffee, part bourbon, and all slushie, this is one of the tastiest (and most addictive) options to cure any and all of your summer maladies.

Grab your banjo and a straw. You’re gonna need both.

Sweet & Vicious (5 Spring St, Manhattan)

This Nolita mainstay draws people in with its artsy decor and keeps ‘em there with its crafty cocktails.

Our favorites? The slushie margaritas.

Choose from pomegranate, guava, mango, peach strawberry, or classic. Bring it outside to the garden area and watch the fireworks.

The fireworks exploding in your mouth, that is.

Extra Fancy (302 Metropolitan Ave, Brooklyn)

Need a crawfish fix? Jones-ing for a cup of clam chowder? How about an outdoor frozen slushie machine?

Well, you’ve come to the right place.

This crab shack eatery offers frozemenade (or, frozen rose), frozen gin and tonics, and a revolving door of other yummy options.

Fuku (15 West 56th St, Manhattan)

fuku

One of the highlights of the Chambers Hotel, Fuku offers up American food with an Asian flair like their Sweet and Spicy Fuku Chicken Fingers.

They also serve a wide variety of alcoholic slushies that will make you sing for joy.

Strawberry Lemonade, White Cosmo, Dreamsicle -- you can’t go wrong.

Well, unless you don’t go, that is.

That would be a disaster.
