The Roosevelt Island Tram is about to get another upgrade.

Curbed reports that the Roosevelt Island Operating Cooperation has tapped GC Eng & Associates to renovate the tram station on the Manhattan side.

The Roosevelt Islander reported that the goals of the renovations include two glass elevators, increased user capacity, more lighting and greater security, as well as improved circulation.

The renovations are slated to begin in September or October of this year, though they are expected to take one year to complete.

Yep. It's NYC. That sounds about right.
