Things just continue to get better and better for Brooklynites!

Hop on the 2 or 3 train or walk to Prospect Park, because cars are officially a no go this summer!

The Department of Transportation announced today, July 10th, that Prospect Park will be closed to all cars for the remainder of the summer.

And at this point, all Brooklyn cyclists started jumping with joy.

According to Gothamist, starting Monday July 17th through Monday September 11th, the park will be a car free zone. This is the first time in decades that this has ever happened.

Let's hope they make this a permanent thing.

According to the Department of Transportation, driving in Prospect Park during the summer isn't something to be worried about anyway. No one really drives in the park during the summer to begin with, so this project wouldn't cause any confusion.

Let's hope we don't jinx it.
