Places to Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day in NYC & Beyond

As National Cheeseburger Day approaches this Monday, September 18th, it's the perfect time to explore some of the best spots serving up mouthwatering burgers. From timeless classics to innovative gourmet creations, these iconic burgers are sure to elevate your celebration and redefine your love for this American favorite.

Clinton Hall serves up a colossal 20oz signature beef patty for their CH Challenge for $50. If you conquer the burger and fries by yourself, it's free! The burger also features Nueske's bacon, yellow and white American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, bread and butter pickles, topped with barbecue chicken tenders, crispy onion rings and CH sauce on a sourdough roll on top of a bed of French fries. The challenge is served with a 16oz Gigawatt beer. The challenge is available at their FiDi (90 Washington St.), 36th Street (16 W. 36th Street), E. 51st Street (230 E. 51st), and Bronx (601 E. 189th St.) locations.

Carnegie Diner & Cafe near Central Park (205 W 57th St), steps from the iconic Carnegie Hall in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, and in Times Square District at (828 8th Ave) offers a diverse menu blending classic diner charm with a modern twist, and their burgers are the highlight. The Carnegie Classic features an organic patty with tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and homemade sauce, while the Corner Burger adds cheddar cheese and caramelized onions for a richer bite. For blue cheese fans, the Central Park pairs it with mushrooms, and the Columbus Circle elevates the experience with smoked gouda, bacon, avocado, and caper aioli. Breakfast lovers will enjoy the Morning Sunshine, topped with a fried egg and bacon, while the indulgent Time Square combines a spicy fried chicken and cheeseburger. The Chili Burger and Five Hills Double Stack cater to big appetites, but the standout Amazing Burger comes in a mac and cheese bun with cheddar, bacon, and an egg. For plant-based diners, the Impossible Vegan Burger offers a savory, guilt-free alternative, and the luxurious Pastrami Burger combines Wagyu pastrami with an organic beef patty, making this a burger menu with something for everyone.
