Pizza is definitely one of our passion foods. We’re always writing about it, and for good reason. New Yorkers are proud to chow down on pizza all day, every day.

TBH, we could probably write about pizza at great length in any medium. Except for songwriting. We’re still working on that one.

But pizza has so many great qualities, among them convenience. It’s one of a few foods that you can get just about anywhere in NYC, at any time of the day.

So imagine our surprise when we heard there was a pizza ATM.

Yup. Xavier University, located in Ohio, just got the nation’s first machine, according to Fortune. The reception on campus has been pretty positive, and New Yorker Jennifer Paiotti said “I hate to admit it, but it is the best pizza I’ve ever had.”

Apparently the technology’s been around for more than ten years (invented in France?!?), we suppose it must be the $9 price tag that had people on the fence.

Once again, it seems like this attempt to make this convenient food hyper-convenient might be a little much. We’ll keep nom-nomming on our dollar ‘za until this ATM invades NYC, and even then, we’re in no rush.
