Well, it's official. Governor's Ball will not be the only crazy music festival storming Randall's Island this summer. Panorama is coming too, and it'll be rocking the island from Friday, July 22nd through Sunday, July 24th.
Of course, the buzz started in January, when Coachella's organizers AEG Live announced they might be bringing a version of the famous festival to the East Coast.
Then, things got heated when AEG Live announced plans to bring Panorama to Randall's Island, and Governor's Ball's organizers did not like that at all. They petitioned Mayor de Blasio to block the concert.
Apparently, though, that petition did not work out, because Panorama has just announced its lineup for this summer, and it's so hot, it burns our eyes to look at.
You ready for this? Beware: you will definitely want to buy tickets immediately, but you'll have to wait until March 4th. So... control yourselves, people.
Headlining on Friday, July 22nd at Panorama Music Festival will be Arcade Fire, the Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, FKA Twigs, DJ Khaled, and the Silversun Pickups. Plus, of course, many more.
Are we excited to see DJ Khaled's Snapchat story before, during, and after Panorama? We certainly are.
On Saturday, the incredible Kendrick Lamar will take the stage, as will The National, Sufjan Stevens, Flosstradamus, Blood Orange, and Foals. Plus, lots more.
If that isn't enough to get you all worked up, let us tell you about Sunday. There will be LCD Soundsystem, Sia, A$AP Rocky, Kurt Vile, Run the Jewels, Grace Potter, and more.
Now, we know Gov Ball isn't super stoked on this news, but that lineup is pretty insane. Plus, we love music. So why wouldn't we want to get to a gorgeous island on the East River and jam to music this summer?
You can buy a three-day general admission pass, or a three day VIP admission pass. They'll also have ferry and shuttle passes available, but unlike Gov Ball, you have to buy a ticket for three days or not at all.
So, if you're asking us, the more music we get to jam to, the better. Get your Panorama tickets here, and do it soon.
