Smorgasburg has moved around a lot in the last few years. It has been in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan

As of last August it moved to Prospect Park so foodies could flock to the great outdoors for some of the city's best eats.

What is Smorgasburg, you ask? If you've been living under the wrong rock, Smorgasburg is a food market of epic proportions where diets are thrown out the window in favor of gourmet foods unparalleled in flavor and creativity.

It's a collection of popular local food vendors gathered in one location for the convenience of NYC foodies.

According to DNAinfo, this foodie paradise will be returning to its Prospect Park location this spring, for another season of delicious delights. Smorgasburg will open on April 3rd and continue every following Sunday through October 23rd.

Prospect Park Alliance President, Sue Donoghue stated, "[we] are thrilled to have Smorgasburg return to Prospect Park this year to continue to enliven and enhance the food options available for our many park visitors."

She goes on to state that the "partnership with Smorgasburg proved extremely successful in our pilot last year and park-goers loved having this popular food market in the park."

According to the Prospect Park Alliance, the partnership with Smorgasburg founders, Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby, has been mutually advantageous.

"Prospect Park is the best place, let alone park, in New York," says Demby, "how could we not come back?"

Though the list of this year's vendors has not been announced, we're hoping to see familiar faces like Mighty Quinn's, Home Frite, Dough, Birds & Bubbles, and Alchemy Creamery

Smorgasburg, founded in 2011 in Williamsburg, has grown exponentially, with future market locations in Los Angeles and in the Hudson Valleys this summer.
