It's Official: Queens International Night Market Is Coming Back in April!

Okay, so Jonas was cool and all, but we good on that snow for a while? Soon enough, we're going to hate the cold. We're going to hate the darkness. We're going to have to face down the demons of seasonal depression and the winter blues.

Sure, we might have really, really missed the snow back in December, but now we're going to have to come clean: Winter sucks. Sometimes the only way to combat the inevitable doom is to set yourself a goal; something to look forward to.

Well, set your sights on April 23rd because that's when the Queens International Night Market returns!

That's what you call a win.

Oh, you don't remember the night market? Well, it's pretty sick. Well, it will be if it was anything like last year's

Every Saturday starting April 23rd, founder John Wang and upwards of 50 food vendors will take over the NY Hall of Science at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and from 6 p.m. to midnight, you can check out a ton of amazing grub, goods, and live performances.

Currently, Wang is looking for vendors of all sorts to hold down the market with him. According to Gothamist, Wang is refining his approach to the market noting, "Last year, at our fullest, we approached 100 vendors on a single night. I think we will try to cap our food vendors at around 50 this year."

"From my experience, if there are more than that, it's kind of a paralysis of options for the visitors. And, of course, capping the number of food stalls is better for the food vendors that are participating."

Oh, and not only is it back, but so is the $5 price cap on the menu.

“I tried to make the Night Market as accessible and affordable as possible for our visitors, which meant making it as accessible and affordable as possible for vendors," Wang said. "The focus has always been on community, inclusiveness, and diversity, and I tried to cultivate that every step of the way.

We're just stoked it's back and that there's something to look forward to. Check out this video from the first-ever Queens International Night Market last year.
