For lovers of affordable theatre who hate waiting in line in Times Square, this one's for you.

The Theater Development Fund's popular discount ticket pop up booth, TKTS, is now opening up a new location in the David Atrium at Lincoln Center.

TKTS is known by New Yorkers for its incredible deals on Broadway shows, offering up to 50% off tickets to select shows.

The major downside of TKTS is that, before now, its primary location was smack dab in the middle of Times Square, underneath those infamous red stairs.

There are two other TKTS locations, one in Brooklyn and another in the South StreeThist Seaport district, but why trek all the way downtown when you'll just have to get back uptown for the show?

This new TKTS booth is the Theater Development Fund's attempt at appealing to New Yorkers who don't want to deal with the stress that comes with Times Square.

The Times Square TKTS location is primarily aimed at tourists, thus New Yorkers aversion to the original location.

Besides the new prime location, there are a few other differences between the Lincoln Center and Times Square TKTS.

This location is indoors, and thank God for that. It'll also be opening earlier than the Times Square location, opening up at noon, giving you more time to plan out the rest of your day.

This location also sells both matinee tickets for the same day, and day before the show. The other locations only have one of these options, now you have the freedom to choose.

It's important to know that this location will be closed on Sundays and Mondays. Granted, that's not a major loss since there's usually only Sunday matinee shows, and no shows at all on Monday, but at least now you know not to make an unnecessary journey Monday morning.

Your options may be slightly more limited at the Lincoln Center booth, as some shows are exclusive to the Times Square location.

The booth is also not listed on the TKTS app, so, unfortunately, you won't be able to compare your options between the different locations, you'll just have to take a leap of faith and hope that tickets to your favorite show are available at this booth.

This booth will hopefully be a more permanent fixture if New Yorkers actually take advantage of it. If not, it may leave us sooner than you think.

Everyone deserves the chance to see a Broadway show for cheap, so why not take advantage of this massive favor to Times Square-hating New Yorkers?
