A Giant Pool Filled with Rainbow Sprinkles Is Coming to the New Museum of Ice Cream | spoiled NYC

Museums usually ask you not to touch the art. But at the new Museum of Ice Cream, you’ll be able to eat the art.

The summer-perfect pop-up is coming to 100 Gansevoort St. in the Meatpacking District starting July 29 for a whole month of everything ice cream.

It sounds pretty much like Willy Wonka’s factory come to life, promising edible balloons, an “immersive chocolate room,” a themed playground that includes a couples swing shaped like an ice cream sandwich, and a pool filled with giant rainbow sprinkles.

Find your forever flavor (or just the right one for your current mood) in Tinder Land, and admission includes a Scoop of the Week from notable local pros like OddFellows and Black Tap.

Oh, and there actually is a Wonka here-- Dr. Irwin Adam, who will lead tastings inside the museum’s Future Food Studio.

The Museum of Ice Cream will be open through Aug. 31 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $18 (or $30 for a couple, just don’t put the rest of us off our treats with PDAs). Or be first in the door on opening day until 3 p.m. for free admission.
