Born and raised in New York, she has always had a passion for the arts, fashion, different cultures, unique cuisine, and experiencing new things.

Kanika’s photography experience started eight years ago when she brought her first professional DSLR camera along with her for an 18-day trip throughout Europe, where she saw five different countries and over 21 cities. She is a self-taught photographer who has learned on the go.

In last eight years, Kanika has been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most amazing sights found on Earth such as: Macchu Picchu, Petra, the Blue Mosque, Cinque Terre, the Taj Mahal, Chichen Itza, the Alhambra, and countless others. Her most recent travels brought her to Portugal last summer to see Lisbon, Lagos, and Porto.

Having visited 27 countries, one of her many goals is to see every country in the world, and document it along the way. Two of her favorite countries she has been to are Jordan and Turkey, which she visited during the Arab Spring, in December of 2011.
