On January 11, 12, and 13 VideoOut will host its first event of 2019: Brooklyn Story Sharing Day. Sign up here for a 30-minute time slot to share your story.

VideoOut travels the United States recording and sharing LGBTQIA+ stories. We then wield those stories as tools for awareness, advocacy, and education. We are building what will become the largest library of coming-out stories anywhere in the world.

Bronx poetry is a biweekly event that showcases New York City’s amazing artists . Open mic signup at 6 PM,  Headliners perform at 7 PM. Enjoy a full bar, with a food menu and Hookah during the show.

Make Pizza, Drink Wine

Since we've had such great time last year for our first seven (yes, 7!) events, we're coming back for more, more, more in 2019! 

Consider this your formal invite (yup, yet again!) to Kesté Pizza & Vino’s infamous pizza-making classes, Make Pizza Drink Wine, going down at 7 PM on the following Friday nights: January 11th, 18th (just added) & 25th, February 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd, and March 15th, 22nd & 29th!

Get schooled by world-renowned pizza chefs Roberto and Giorgia Caporuscio at Kesté’s Fulton Street location, where you’ll spend hours with us learning how to make (and taste, obviously!) authentic Neapolitan pizza. Not only will you gain hands-on experience from the cream of the pizza-making crop, but did we mention you’ll also enjoy sipping on complimentary glasses of house red and white wines for the night while learning about the incredible history of Neapolitan pizza-- plus you'll have delicious appetizers like fried burrata and fresh mozzarella served family-style!

Into the Deep: An Immersive Oceans Course (200 Central Park W, Manhattan @ 6:00 PM)

Join deep-sea evolutionary biologist Mercer Brugler as he takes us on a deep dive into the science behind the Unseen Oceans exhibition during this five-part immersive course. 

Featured guest scientists and experts will deliver a close look into some of the oceans’ most awe-inspiring characteristics—from bioluminescent organisms and giant squid to the unexplored depths of the oceans' most mysterious regions. This course takes place inside the Unseen Oceans exhibition.

Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco is themed, dress up, immersive roller skating experience that will transport you into a fabulous retro roller disco “dreamland!” Each night includes great tunes, dazzling performers, and a red caarpet to get your insta right.

Get On the Stage is an open mic based around uplifting and centering the voices of Queer/Trans People of Color, Trans, Two Spirit, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-Binary, Intersex and anyone who falls between the margins of these Western labels. 

Speakers can bring poems, prose, music, stand-up and spoken word of any kind.

This annual event hosted by the Whitney Contemporaries welcomes young patrons, emerging artists, and guests from the world of art, fashion, business, and entertainment for an evening of cocktails, music, and exhibition viewing. 

Art Party proceeds benefit the Independent Study Program and other Museum education initiatives.

Fall into a black hole. Surf on Saturn’s rings. Experience SPHERES, a Virtual Reality journey through the cosmos debuting at Rockefeller Center. In a first-of-its-kind event, this experience will transport you from New York City to the darkest edges of the universe.

Follow Millie Bobby Brown, Jessica Chastain, and Patti Smith as the voice of the cosmos in this three part Virtual Reality series from writer and director Eliza McNitt and Executive Producers Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel. SPHERES debuted at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Telluride, and received the Grand Prize in VR at the Venice Film Festival.
