If you're seeking a dining experience that merges storytelling with sustainability and innovation, LORE is the place to be.

One dish that truly captivated our senses was the Roti Ravioli. This dish is a masterpiece, blending comforting textures and bold flavors. The eggplant and spaghetti squash filling was perfectly complemented by the rich vindaloo sauce and a burst of pomegranate sweetness. It was a dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan delight that left us dreaming of its warm, aromatic flavors long after the meal ended.

Next, we indulged in the Seared Prawns, which were nothing short of perfection. Served on a bed of coconut basmati rice with fresh spinach, this dish was not only dairy-free and gluten-free but also a beautiful fusion of delicate flavors. The prawns were tender and juicy, and the coconut rice paired beautifully, making this dish a standout for seafood lovers.

For the main course, the Lamb Rack stole the show. This succulent lamb was served with fingerling potatoes, a smooth carrot puree, and glazed cipollini, all drenched in the flavorful rogan josh sauce. Dairy-free and gluten-free, the lamb was perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of spice and richness. Every bite was a celebration of robust, bold flavors that transported us to the heart of India while offering a unique global twist.

To cap off the meal, we couldn’t resist the indulgent Ganache Cake. Warm, velvety chocolate sauce was paired with rose ice cream and a sprinkle of cardamom salt, creating a dessert that was not only divine but also dairy, egg, peanut, and tree-nut free. The combination of floral rose and the spiced salt elevated the chocolate to new heights, making this dessert a perfect ending to our unforgettable meal.

What truly sets LORE apart, aside from the food, is Chef Kumar’s deep commitment to his community. From his active participation in local initiatives like the Park Slope Civic Council’s “Food For Thought” event to his work with No Kid Hungry, Chef Kumar's dedication to enriching his neighborhood extends beyond the kitchen. His focus on sustainability is also evident in his menu, which features locally sourced, seasonal produce and meats. This dedication to quality and community shines through in every bite, making LORE not just a restaurant, but a part of the fabric of Brooklyn itself.
