Okay, we can admit, New York City can stand to calm down a little bit.
When you think "holiday season," it's at least a little closer to Thanksgiving than a month before Halloween right?
Well apparently, you're wrong. Here in NYC, the holiday season means we get everything all at once. Bryant Park's Winter Village? It'll be up a month into Fall.
However, The iconic Rink at Rockefeller Center is one-upping even that because it's opening THIS SATURDAY on October 8th.
We haven't even unpacked all our sweaters from the top of our closets yet, let alone the scarves, hats, and gloves needed for gliding around (stumbling around for many of us) on skates.
As reported by Time Out, the rink will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. until midnight– before peak holiday season general admission is $25 but hikes up to $27 or $32.
Skate rentals are also $12 if you don't have a pair of ice skates lying around.
On the bright side, at least it's not unmanageably cold outside yet– no one wants to go ice skating in four layers and a scarf over your face, that would make for a terrible 'gram, let's be real.

So sure, maybe it's a little early, but you'd best check it out now before the entirety of Rockefeller Plaza becomes impossible to navigate at all, as is customary during the holidays (the actual holidays, which are still a couple months away).
This year is also the rink's 80th anniversary and they promise something special is being planned to celebrate, so stay tuned!
