Welcome to Lincoln Center, home of the famous... hippo?
According to TimeOut NY, a 15-foot bronze statue will be on display until July 31st, 2017.
Why you ask?
The statue is paying tribute to the Disney character, Hyacinth Hippo from Fantasia and was inspired by Little Danced Aged Fourteen, by Impressionist Edgar Degas.
Designed by Danish artist Bjørn Okholm Skaarup, the hippo wears a tutu and a pair of point shoes.
Appropriate.

Hippo Ballerina will proudly stand tall at Dante Park near the intersection of 64th Street and Broadway, just outside the famous Lincoln Center.
Lucky for us, she will be standing there until July 31st.
