The sun is here so why waste it? Soak it up at the most scenic spot on the Hudson, floating oyster and cocktails bar Grand Banks.
The moored wooden schooner has opened two weeks early near Pier 25 at Hudson River Park.
For now, they're only serving drinks-- Lauren Schell (Milk and Honey) has taken over the cocktails, with additions like the Mariner (Jamaican Rum, Montenegro, honey, grapefruit and lemon).
When food service does begin on May 2, the raw bar will have sustainably farmed oysters from Alabama, Montauk and California, and a caviar dish of wild-caught paddlefish roe on brioche toast, with Meyer lemon and wild chive crème fraîche.

New small plates include fried blowfish, a seafood ragout and a pasta with the Italian delicacy bottarga (Grand Banks' version comes from Florida) with monkfish and lobster in a clam broth.
Lunch service is also on the way Wednesday-Friday beginning Memorial Day, while weekends are for brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
And we saved the best for last. You can now score a reservation via OpenTable, though Grand Banks will remain primarily walk-in.
