It’s a freezing fall day not too far from now. You’re wandering through the East Village, and you are starving.

You know you want something Italian, but pizza feels a little too casual and pasta feels a little too pedestrian.

Then, suddenly, you've got it. The perfect solution. The answer to all of life's problems: gnocchi.

Got gno idea what we’re talking about? Italian staple “gnocchi” are a kind of small, soft pillow-y dumpling akin to pasta and stuffed with all kinds of veggies, meats and cheeses.

So obviously, you'll want to head over to NYC's first and only restaurant dedicated to serving the needs of gnocchi enthusiasts — Gnoccheria by Luzzo’s! Located at 234 East 4th Street, this restaurant is open for dinner every day except Mondays and also serves lunch on weekends.

Gnoccheria's Executive Chef Michele Iuliano, the genius behind Luzzo’s La Pizza Napoletana, has dedicated himself to mastering the dish. There are over fifteen exotic gnocchi dishes to choose from!

You can order their trademark pillows of goodness with a variety of sauces, flavors, and stuffing, and they even serve a gluten-free variety.

But if that kind of carby meal just still ain’t your thang, the restaurant also serves paninis, salads, desserts, and a variety of scrumptious appetizers like Calamari Fritti and Carciofi Marinati as well as a nice selection of Vino and Birra to wash down your meal.

Gnoccheria first opened about a year ago, but when we released this cool vid spotlighting the place, we BLEW. IT. UP. With over 8 million views, this little eatery that could has straight up gone viral.

So don’t miss out on the hype. You can make a reservation on their website, but maybe you should just head over today before the lines start getting insane!

No rezzies for six months? No worries—we'll be giving away opportunities to visit over the next few months so stay tuned!
