Did you guys brace yourselves for the winter? Because winter came. Hopefully it left for good, but that’s not likely.

Speaking of Game of Thrones puns, it’s been more than six months since the season finale of the titular show. And there’s still no definite premiere date for the seventh season.

So, yeah, we’re kinda freaking out, or at least, pretty bummed about it.

But now we can drink away all our worries with the latest merchandising, Game of Thrones beer.

Yeah, we’re not kidding.

According to Thrillist, Ommegang Brewery has announced a new official Game of Thrones beer called Bend the Knee golden ale.

The 9% Belgian-style golden will come in 750ml bottles featuring the sigils of the Stark, Targaryen, and Lannister houses. Which would be a great housewarming gift for the diehards, or a fun little nod to your weekly GOT meet-up parties.

The beer’s release date, which is definitive, is on Memorial Day. Sounds far, but it'll still be out before The Winds of Winter.

But this isn’t new for the brewery, being the eighth beer collaboration with the HBO show.

Other concoctions have been the Iron Throne blonde ale, the Take the Black Stout, the Three-Eyed Raven saison, and the Valar Dohaeris tripel ale. We're pretty psyched about these new additions while we wait.

At least now, we can get hammered while doing so.
