Ah, disco.

That beloved genre we killed in the 70s and revived in the 80s. The genre that gave us house music and rap.

And the genre Astor Place is bringing back this spring. Right on, man!

To commemorate the 50th birthday of the Astor Place Cube, the Astor Place & Village Alliance will host a groovy silent disco on May 5th.

How is that possible you ask? Dancers will be given freed wireless headphones that'll pipe in music from three live DJs that reflect "the musical heritage of the neighborhood".

Quiet ravers will be the focal point of a dazzling light and projection show.

Called the "Astor Blaster", the event starts at 6:30pm and will continue until 10:30pm. Hold up though, the party won't stop there.

Local bars will be providing exclusive offers to Astor Blaster dancers! So, If you think you might've found your soulmate while ya'll were doing 'the hustle", you can buy them a drink without breaking the bank.

You can find out more here.

Hope you're as ready to get down and boogie as we are!
