Lately, New York City seems to be getting the short end of the donut stick. The cruller, if you will. Then we heard about some fried goodness going down next Friday.

We were like, “‘Friday’? More like ‘Fried-day!’”

Philly’s Federal Donuts will pop up at Chefs Club NY in Noho next Friday from 7 to 11 a.m., and right after that they’ll be selling fried-chicken sandwiches from 11 to 2 p.m.

Grub Street reports that the deliciousness will descend on NYC, but only for a few hours on September 9th.

When you get there (at the crack of dawn, if you’re serious about getting these awesome donuts), be ready with your order.

Two dollars will get you the “hot fresh,” made-to-order sweetness available in one of three rolled-up mixes: cinnamon-brown-sugar, strawberry-lavender, or a tasty-sounding blend of orange blossom, cocoa, and clove; something creator Michael Solomonov calls “Appolonia”.

Three bucks brings new meaning to the word “fancy” (no Iggy Azalea jokes, please). Again, you’ve got three fresh choices: chocolate-eclair, blueberry-pancake, and marshmallow-marshmallow.

Yep. You read that right. Marshmallow-marshmallow. We’re super-curious to try that one.

When 11 a.m. rolls around, prepare your taste buds for this double-fried chicken sammich deliciousness.

Solomonov’s rolling out the goods drizzled in buttermilk-ranch seasoning and “spicy rooster sauce,” then topped with American cheese and dill pickles all between a Martin’s potato roll.

He recently debuted his hummus concept, Dizengoff, in Chelsea Market. Here’s hoping that we can order the next round of donuts to stay.
