The term Speakeasy is thrown around so much nowadays it may have lost its flair - Casa De Lobo is bringing it back! If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Jersey City, look no further than Casa De Lobo (475 Washington Blvd.). Tucked away in a quiet corner, this spot has become one of the most exclusive, stylish hangouts in the Garden State. Over the years, it’s built up a loyal following of hand-picked members and has hosted a range of star-studded guests.
This month, owner Cesar Alvarez hosted a sneak preview that gave guests a taste of what’s to come. The night was filled with live music and a captivating burlesque performance, setting the perfect tone for an evening of fun and celebration. Chef Darryl Harmon treated everyone to some amazing bites, including fan favorites like Chicharron de Pollo Lollipops, Peruvian Shrimp Ceviche, Crispy Cauliflower, Snake River Farms Skirt Steak on Tostones, and juicy Burger Sliders. As for drinks, the Lemon Drop quickly became the signature cocktail of the night, with The Wolf following closely behind.
Starting February 20th, Casa De Lobo will open its doors to the public for the first time in two years, offering a chance to experience this exclusive speakeasy. Non-members can visit from 5pm to 7pm, Thursday through Sunday, and from February 26th, they’ll also be open all day on Wednesdays. To visit make a reservation via OpenTable.
