A few years ago, DMX was at New York City's Power 105 radio station around the holidays.

At the behest of a very polite young lady, X threw down, "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" a capella, drumming his own beat on the table with his hands. 

It's something you may have never thought you'd see: one of the most gifted rappers of the last couple of decades spit a fierce but fun "Rudolph."

More than that, at the end, he's worried he didn't get the names right-- as if his daughter would be disappointed in him for missing one or two. But he's elated, it's the nicest and happiest you'll ever see DMX. 

DMX is known for being intelligent and angry. In this video, he's quite cordial, while throwing in his trademark mid-line calls like "What?" and "Uhhh." It's great. Take a look below.
