Sounds Pretty, Pretty Dope: 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Is Coming Back to HBO for a 9th Season?!

We never thought we'd see the day.

HBO's longest running scripted series is back after a tortuously long hiatus that left fans wondering if the show would even be back for a rumored ninth season.

And we're not exaggerating about that torturous part, it was a seriously long wait.

Curb Your Enthusiasm's eighth season wrapped up in 2011.

Fans have literally been waiting five years for another season.

Larry David, the hilarious face and executive producer of the series, has had the opportunity to start up the ninth season ever since the eighth ended in 2011, but hadn't made any official statements regarding a ninth season until today.

HBO itself made the grand announcement about the return of the beloved series, but an official release date has not been announced.

The eighth season was the most popular season since the show's debut in 1999, so it seems safe to say that the upcoming ninth season will be one for the record books.

And of course, Larry David had to weigh in on the announcement, stating in the words of Julius Caesar, "I left, I did nothing, I returned," in reference to his comeback.

We haven't been this excited about the return of a series in a long time. Needless to say, we're pumped for this latest addition to the 2017 TV lineup.
