This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to return for a weekend at Club Getaway, the Northeast’s premier adult Summer camp destination for sports, fun, and adventure. Set on 300 acres overlooking a stunning lake in the Berkshire Mountains and just 90 minutes from New York City, Club Getaway offers an unparalleled escape into nature.

From the moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere was palpable. Boarding a shuttle with our luggage, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who ushered us to the main campgrounds where the party was already in full swing. The welcome included a full bar, a schedule of events for the weekend, and a buffet of finger foods including delicious falafels, meatballs, pitas, hummus, salads, and a tempting dessert table. We even had the option to participate in a bracelet-making session before settling into our cozy cabin accommodations.

The first night set the tone for the weekend with a lively dinner under a large white tent, featuring grilled veggies and meats, and a spirited trivia game that fostered new friendships and fun debates. Club Getaway’s commitment to inclusivity was evident with a range of vegan and gluten-free options available, ensuring everyone could fully enjoy their dining experiences, including desserts. The night concluded with a vibrant party and karaoke night, during which inhibitions were out the window to make way for free spirited banter and tunes.

Throughout our stay, the variety of activities was impressive. Each day was packed with options such as rock wall climbing, bike rides, hikes of numerous intensity levels, aerial sports, pickleball lessons, and more. I particularly enjoyed relaxing by the lake which had panoramic views of the mountains. After some rest I got dressed up and headed to the lakeside nacho party with a nautical-themed twist, led by Below Deck Season 11 member and Nacho King Alex P. Taylor.
