Now this sounds like something we could do this weekend.

Aridoamerica Winter Plan, new pop-up coffee shop in Williamsburg, is advertising as being cash optional.

Cash. Optional?! Wait, what?

The exhibit, found in the Museo de Los Sures gallery, was created by Fran Illich is a media artist, essayist and novelist based in New York City.

So here's how it works.

According to Time Out NY, the cafe wants to take the focus off of material objects and really highlight artistry.

So instead of paying cash for your yummy organic latte, you can choose to exchange something like one of your buttons or some old jewelry.

Not wearing any buttons or jewels? No problem.

Pop a squat and play the shop's signature board game, Patolli, and you could win a unique kind of currency which you can then use in the shop. Got that?

The shop receives funds from the New York State Council of the Arts so technically, it only needs to make a quarter per cup to keep the lights on.
