Williamsburg’s beloved vinyl bar Please Tell Me (749 Metropolitan Ave) has welcomed a bold new culinary residency that’s turning heads—and appetites. Meet MANÉ, the vibrant new Brazilian-inspired kitchen helmed by Executive Chef David Sedycias, whose cross-cultural roots and fine dining pedigree converge in a soulful, refined menu that’s anything but ordinary.

Born in Brazil and raised between his home country and the United States, Chef David moved to the U.S. at age 11 and later returned to Brazil during the pandemic before resettling in New York. Along the way, he sharpened his skills in some of the city's top kitchens, including Momofuku and Le Bernardin. Now, in partnership with longtime friend and former colleague Alex Lee, he brings his unique perspective to the MANÉ residency—fusing Brazilian street food, contemporary techniques, and global flair into something entirely his own.

The MANÉ menu is packed with playful yet thoughtful takes on Brazilian staples. Standouts include Queijo Coalho, a grilled cheese dish laced with honey and chili oil; Batatas Fritas, crispy fries tossed with hot dog ends and spicy malagueta ketchup—a cheeky nod to Brazil’s street food culture; and Grilled Kale finished with Brazilian honey and a cloud-like cashew cream foam. For heartier cravings, the Glizzy Hot Dog and Búrguer serve up satisfying stacks with bold, saucy flavor. Brunch brings hits like the Pão de Queijo BEC and a Maple-Glazed Calabrese Sausage Breakfast Burrito, while a new dinner addition, Feijão Tropeiro, layers Brazilian rice and beans with rich, nostalgic depth.

As much about vibes as it is about flavor, MANÉ at Please Tell Me also invites diners to immerse themselves in Brazilian culture with Brazil Nite, a weekly live music series held every Tuesday.

Adding to the charm, Please Tell Me has reopened its beloved Wine Window—a seasonal homage to the wine windows of Florence, Italy. Popping up during Winyl Wednesdays and weekend brunches (weather permitting), the window serves up New World wines, St. Agrestis spritzes on tap, and rotating bites like lamb, chicken, or oxtail Pastels, alongside Pão de Queijo sliders.

Whether you come for the food, the music, or the wine poured through a historic-style portal, MANÉ is an experience that blends the warmth of Brazil with the laid-back creativity of Brooklyn—one plate (and playlist) at a time.
