Rain, Rain Go Away: 6 Must-Do Things to Have an Amazing First Weekend in June

Welcome to the weekend, New Yorkers!

It's officially Gov Ball weekend, which means absolutely nothing to those of us who are either too unlucky, too poor, or too uninterested to have a ticket.

For those of you who do have a ticket, it means a full three days of insanely incredible performances, excellent food, and lots of Insta-likes from jelly followers.

For the rest of us? Well there's still a ton going down in the Big Apple.

Here's what's happening in New York City this weekend.

All Weekend

Governor's Ball (Randall's Island Park)

What's Governor's Ball? Uh, only one of the most anticipated music festivals on the East Coast. It's like Coachella, but in miniature, and with a heck of a lot less cultural appropriation, great food, hippies, and flower crowns (this isn't Cali...).

Lucky enough to snag a ticket? Check out these underrated acts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Just remember to pack sunscreen on Saturday and a poncho on Friday and Sunday, and be sure to Snapchat us at spoilednyc.
