Italian pop-up bar Mondo announces a May 1st presentation at D.O.C. Wine Bar (83 N. 7 St, Brooklyn) this Tuesday, May 1st, 2018.
This monthโs presentation is inspired by Piedmont, Italy. The northwestern region borders France and Switzerland and is known for being surrounded by the Alps. Nosh wise the area is praised for Montebore (a soft cow and sheep milk blend cheese), truffles, and local vegetable carbo gobbo di Nizza.
Francesco Dionese, the mastermind behind bar MONDO, prides himself on using carefully crafted spirits and liqueurs and local organic ingredients.Meeting the people that provide for his ingredients, creating a clear understanding of where they come from and how they are made. Dionese chose Piedmont for this monthโs event in honor of his familyโs tie to the region.
Tuesdayโs pop-up will stay true to bar_Mondoโs flair; the evening will feature cocktails with mysterious fog, floral ornamentation, and scent immersion that will transport you to Piedmont.
Enjoy creatively presently cocktails with true Italian bittersweet and the herbal notes, built from amaros, vermouths and bitters bases to create a glass of balance and personality.
For bites pop up goers will enjoy organic bruschetta, crostini, fragole con panna, and other Piemonte inspired bites.
