Angelina Bakery Opens New UES Location & La Voglia Hosts A First Anniversary Dinner During One Epic Night This Week

New Yorkers celebrated two significant milestones this week on the culinary scene including Angelina Bakery (1649 3rd Ave.) opening a new location on the Upper East Side and the first anniversary of La Voglia (1645 3rd Ave.), a beloved Italian dining spot! During one epic night of foodie fun guests began with an inside look at Angelina Bakery’s beautiful interior to sample baked goods and followed up at nearby La Voglia to delight in a selection of the restaurant’s signature dishes, cocktails, and warm hospitality.

Attendees joined the celebration for the opening of Angelina Bakery, founded by Chef Antonio “Tony” Park, to indulge in Italian-inspired pastries and baked goods with a unique twist. The menu mindfully incorporates flavors from Park’s Korean heritage. With six locations throughout the city, Angelina Bakery has grown into a beloved brand, offering Italian classics like bombolones and focaccia alongside the popular “Kim’s Hotteok” concept, which features sweet and savory Korean pancakes exclusively at their Koreatown location.

Angelina Bakery offers an array of sweet and savory delights, with their signature Italian bombolones—light, fluffy doughnuts filled with luscious creams like Chantilly, Nutella, pistachio, strawberry, Boston cream, and a Mont Blanc option combining Nutella and Chantilly. Their croissant selection features both classic flavors and inventive twists like pistachio, cream cheese, and milk chocolate, alongside traditional pan au chocolat and caramel options. Cakes include whole creations like tiramisu and yogurt strawberry mousse as well as slices featuring Ferrero Rocher, Black Forest, and burnt cheesecake. For desserts, Angelina serves mini chocolate chip cannoli, fruit and chocolate tarts, various mousse options from tiramisu to blueberry, and an assortment of gelato. The savory menu offers focaccia bread pizzas topped with choices like egg and spinach, prosciutto and arugula, four cheese, and spicy salami, plus whole pies like Margherita and the truffle-infused Tartufana.
