Are the kids back at school already? Is the smell of freshly sharpened pencils giving you complex feels about the end of summer?
Have you emerged from your beach house with more sand down your you-know-where and unanswered emails than you anticipated?
Chillax, y'all! Our weekend guide is here to give you all the NYC Labor Day events you never knew you needed.

Thursday, August 31st
What's more fun than board games, live DJ's, and adult beverages?
Honestly, nothing. We can't think of a damn thing.
Come down to Dyckman Bar from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. for a chill evening featuring Rodney Hazard, SilkyBlack, and a special guest (ohhhh we love those).
Starting at 8 p.m. come enjoy some delicious food and drinks while you explore this year's winner of MoMA's annual Young Architects Program. An enchanting, interactive installation; "Lumen", by Jenny Sabin Studio with glowing fabric.
Spoiler: You're going to get so many cute Labor Day Insta's with this one. #NoFilter.
3. Tribeca Drive-In: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Westfield World Trade Center is hosting a drive-in movie night this Friday, showing none other than, drum roll... Breakfast at Tiffany's! What better way to pretend we're living in another decade.
Good to know: Do not actually drive your car into the theater (as the name suggests), no chairs, blankets, or pets needed, just bring your Hepburn-loving self and get ready to eat your weight in popcorn!
4. NYAAF's Taco or Beer Challenge
Like tacos? How about beer? What about funding safe abortions?
Oh, hey, would you look at that, here's an event with all three.
Come on by The Well from 7-10 p.m., have a beer, grab some mexican, and taco-bout (hey they started it not us) raising funds for the New York Abortion Access Fund.
Get your wallets and taco pants (or beer shorts, whatever you wear when you're feeling sassy) ready to rock and roll!
Saturday, September 2nd
Make your weekend off count, and get your tickets to this Holly-wood like, Hot 97 Yacht Party. The cruise starts at 8:30 pm, Saturday September 2nd, and returns at 2:30 am September 3rd, with music entertainment from Hot 97 favorites, like DJ Young Chow, Wallah, and Stakz.
We know you don't need another excuse to go to a yacht party, okay?
6. New York City Burger Festival 2017
Do we even need to convince you to come to this? Probably not.
But just in case you're a weird skeptic of all things magical, try your taste buds out on 200+ burgers and 50 beer selections at this festival of epic proportions. Calm down though, save some wiggle room in those stretchy pants to get your dancing on with some live music!
7. Hester Street Fair's Lobster and Beer
If burgers and beer didn't quite grab yuh in that last one, perhaps this one will. Literally, those lil' lobster claws are not messing around with those death pinches.
Enjoy this season's fresh catches of lobster and micro-brews and chill with your homies for one final hurrah in the park. The event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. so post up and get comfy in those lobster bibs.
Sunday, September 3rd
Did you know that Brazil is home to more species of monkeys than anywhere else in the world? Did you also know that the Brazilian bikini wax was invented in New York in 1987 by seven Brazilian sisters (we're not sure if we should thank you or strongly dislike you)?
Come celebrate the beauty of Brazil with a lively day of music, dancing like you're a Carnival diva, and of course, some of that famously delicious food.

The festival begins at 11 a.m. on Little Brazil Street.
9. Tour & Wine Tasting at Rooftop Reds, the World's First Rooftop Vineyard
I'm sorry, what did you just say?
A rooftop vineyard, are you for real?
You didn't read that wrong. Untapped Cities is taking you on a 14,800 square foot journey through a wine tasting extravaganza. Starting Sunday at 12:30 p.m. check out this fall's amazing Rooftop Reds and Finger Lakes selections.
Oh, yes girl. We are so ready for Labor Day weekend.
