7 Seriously Dope Concerts to Jam at This Month in NYC

Summer is officially here! 

As you become settled into your summer internship or continue to despise your 9-5, you can now look forward to whatever this short summer has to offer.

Play hooky, and enjoy your day out at a concert or two (Just don't blame us if you get caught)!

Say goodbye to chilly winds from June, July is here and we know you're looking forward to warm summer nights on the stoop.

Or at a music festival, with you, your booze, and your new best friends you met 10 minutes ago.


1. MoMA PS1: Warm Up ( June 1st - September 2nd)

Hop on whichever train gets you to Queens enjoy MoMA PS1 Warm Up, a summer music festival that's going down all summer long. Good Vibes is all we ask for, and this is exactly the place for it. From June, until the ending of summer, a $18-22 concert will occur every Saturday.

2. Lyfe Jennings (July 6th)

Your lover left you? It's okay, because Lyfe Jennings is coming to NYC to make you remember them even more. Bring plenty of tissues with you so you can sing your heart out along with the R&B artist this July at 8 the famous B.B King Nightclub.

3. Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival (July 12th - 15th)

Brooklyn we go hard!

Rap along with hip hop legacies, and embrace the art and power of this genre of music on a warm summer day. Tickets range from $0-180 and they're going fast, so snatch them as quickly as you can. 

This festival offers much more than just music though– we're talking panel discussions, a block party, and also exhibitions embracing the culture Hip Hop.


4. Kendrick Lamar (July 20th & 23rd)


DAMN! We know you're looking at this one like "this is gonna be f*cking expensive," but a little splurge never hurt nobody, and why not, IT'S KENDRICK for crying out loud. 

If you missed the tickets for his already sold out concert at Barclays on July 20th, don't worry, WE GOTCHU! You now have the chance of catching him again on July 23rd at Barclays Center.


5. Iron Maiden (July 21st - 22nd)

6. Wendy Williams' Mixtape Block Party (July 23rd)

Brooklyn, Wendy is coming to you, and hosting an all white beach party at the infamous Coney Island Boardwalk. The fun starts at 4 p.m and will feature performances by Fat Joe and Remy Ma, Naughty by Nature, Big Daddy Kane, and so much more.

7. Panorama NYC Music Festival (July 28th - 30th)

Three days of fun in the sun and loaded with good vibes! Grab your tickets ASAP, and head to Randalls to see artists such as Solange, 6lack, Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, and the list goes on and on.
