Are you tired out from a boring, terrible work week? You need to have some fun. Let loose!
Head outside this weekend and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Sure, it's not 80˚F yet, but it's the perfect weather for some early spring sunshine.
This weekend is full of events and activities that will make you get up off of the couch and spend it outdoors.
Remember, your Netflix binge-watching can wait until the weeknights.
Here are some can't miss activities going down in New York City this weekend:
Saturday, April 30th
Opening Day at The Bronx Brewery (856 East 136th Street - the Bronx)
This weekend, The Bronx Brewery is officially reopening their backyard for the summer season. At their Opening Day party there'll be tons of live music, food from vendors like Fletcher's Barbecue, and, of course, lots of beer.
It's going down this Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 11 p.m., so grab your ticket now, and then head out to the Bronx and get ready for an incredible time.
Street Games Day (114th Street and First Avenue)
On Saturday between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, participate in the 9th Annual Street Games at Thomas Jefferson Park presented by Disney.
It's a day where you can play classic street games like stickball, double-dutch, street hockey, or even wheelchair basketball.
There will be prizes, entertainment, live music, and vendors selling food and drinks.
Queens International Night Market (Corona Park - Queens)
Last weekend, the Queens International Night Market was packed, which means you might have missed out on the crowds. So, no FOMO when everything's slow po. Not a saying, but you get it, right?
Head to the Queens International Night Market this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. for a night of delicious food and live entertainment.
Thursday, April 28th to Sunday, May 1st
Bad Film Festival (85 North 1st Street - Brooklyn)
Ever seen a movie so bad it's good? You need to hit up the Bad Film Festival happening all weekend long at Cloud City in Williamsburg.
The films are meant to engage and entertain the audience while making them think about where that line between "good" and "bad" lies, and why. Of course, you won't be seeing "bad" films, as the title is rather tongue-in-cheek. Or you will. Who knows?
Friday, April 29th to Sunday, May 1st
IndieCade East (36-01 35th Avenue - Queens)
Are you a video game junkie? You need to check out this awesome arcade festival happening from Friday to Sunday. You'll be able to check out scheduled talks, panels, workshops, and even see some new and unreleased games.
Interested in getting your nerd on? Grab a ticket and head out to the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria this weekend for this insane festival.
Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st
