Eating in New York City means eating at some of the best restaurants in the world.

You've heard this statement for years, and you've been echoing it for just as long as well. What other city celebrates its diversity of dishes and people like NYC?

You can spend days debating where the best slice of pizza is in the city, weeks yelling about which joint is the best in a borough, and years fighting about which restaurant reigns on top in the city.

Well, can you imagine trying to figure out which restaurants are best in the world?

With a voting panel of almost 1,000 gastronomic experts, the folks over at The World's 50 Best Restaurants gave three spots to NYC restaurants; one of them even made the top three in the world.

Eleven Madison Park ranked in as the third best restaurant in the world, right behind the legendary El Celler de Can Roca in Spain, and the newly first place Osteria Francescana located in a small street in Modena, Italy.

Eleven Madison Park is known for incredibly rich flavors as well as spectacular hospitably. Their hospitably is so well received, they also won the Ferrari Trento Art of Hospitality Award 2016.

It's apparently the best in all of North America, and it's been one of the hottest restaurants in the entire city for quite some time as well.

The timeless Le Bernardin made it to the 24th spot. The classic restaurant has been a staple in the city since 1986, so it's seen it all - and then some.

Estela made a 46-spot jump from last year cementing the fact that they are going to really take over the food world. Expect to see more insane jumps in the future from these guys.
