In case you were out of town– er, you'd actually have to have been off the planet– men and women worldwide took to the streets in solidarity against not just the newly inaugurated Donald Trump, but against all misogyny, bigotry, and hate.
Still don't know why everyone was marching? Sigh, if only there were millions of women (and men) you could just ask. Too bad. You should just gonna post an uninformed copy/pasted opinion on Facebook instead.
Besides the haters, we're not kidding when we say that these protests were global– there were marches held on all 7 continents, including f*cking Antarctica, and in cities across all 50 states of the U.S.
Unsurprisingly, NYC was one of largest voices of resistance, along with L.A., and Washington D.C. Hopefully you were around to witness the amazing demonstration, because we're pretty sure that this is one of those thing's that we'll all be telling our grandkids about.
It's been a tough couple of months, but Saturday has given us faith that Americans, especially New Yorkers will continue resisting, fighting, and refusing to normalize the incoming administration's destructive actions– which have literally already begun, on Trump's very first full work day.
When you look at the photos below, whether you marched to Trump Tower yourself or not, we hope that you remember that as incredible as Saturday''s demonstration was, we must make sure it was just the beginning of what should be continued, and unrelenting action.
You might as well put your senators in your phone on speed dial. We're in for a long ride.
