These New Renderings of Chelsea's SuperPier Will Definitely Have You Drooling...

New York City's famed Pier 57, the one that's been vacant and mainly useless for a long time, is due for a serious makeover.

Now being called "SuperPier," the prime Manhattan waterfront real estate will be a whole new space in the near future. SuperPier is going to be a massive multipurpose area.

It will include Anthony Bourdain's 170,000 square foot open air eatery/market, 250,000 square feet of office space for Google, and an outdoor performance amphitheater on the roof, which will also host Tribeca Film Festival screenings.

There are a few companies co-developing the project, including RXR Realty, Young Woo & Associates, Handel Architects, Melk Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design.

While that's a pretty good list of developers, capital is another thing. The team of developers has recently announced that they've "... largely secured financing and are finalizing talks with the Hudson River Trust."

Construction on SuperPier is due to begin next year, and should be complete before the end of 2018. Check out these amazing new renderings below.
