Have you heard the news? 

Pope Francis is coming to New York City for about a day and a half later in the month, and there are a few places in town where you can catch a glimpse of the most progressive leader the Catholic Church has arguably ever had. 

He'll be arriving at Kennedy Airport around 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th and hosting evening prayer at St. Patrick's Cathedral at 6:45 p.m. 

That being said, Sept. 25th is New Yorkers' best chance to see the man himself, as he'll be making the rounds throughout NYC all day long. 

The 78-year-old Argentinian Jesuit will address the United Nations General Assembly on Friday morning, followed by a visit to the 9/11 Museum where he'll host a multi-religious service in memory of those lost in the terror attacks.

Afterwards, he'll pass through Central Park, on his way to Our Lady Queen of Angels School in East Harlem.

Thousands will undoubtedly gather in Central Park to witness his Holiness' procession. You can enter to win tickets by calling 311 or signing up here between September 3rd and September 7th. 

General expectations are that those tickets will be hard to get your hands on, so we recommend getting on top of the process if you're heck-bent on seeing the heavenly Pontiff in person.

The Pope will round out his NYC visit by saying Mass at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening, and finally depart for Philadelphia the following morning. . 

Word is that those MSG tickets will not be sold, but extremely limited. 

Distribution of mass tickets is slated to happen through Diocesan institutions, and anyone interested in worshipping at the Garden is encouraged to contact their parish.
