So, this past Thursday, Pearl Jam tweeted this message below. What's it mean, you might be asking yourself?

Gothamist speculated it might have something to do with the group of Pearl Jam fans who've been raising money to get the band to play at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens.

So far, they've raised $143,012-- which, while impressive, is likely not enough to pay Pearl Jam's concert fee.

Although, Daniel Sheffer, one of the Pearl Jam fundraising organizers, said this tweet might indicate that Pearl Jam might be playing at the Global Citizens Festival on September 26th in New York City, which is a concert held every year in Central Park with the aim of eventually ending extreme poverty by 2030.

So far, Ed Sheeran is the only confirmed performer. Past Global Citizens Festival performers have included JayZ, No Doubt, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, and Alicia Keys.

So, we think Sheffer's hypothesis has some merit, but we can't say for sure.

Guess in the meantime we'll just have to keep endlessly refreshing Pearl Jam's Twitter feed, eh?
