Way back in 2009, more than 100 artists went four stories below New York City and painted unique masterpieces in the city's underground subway system.
The project was entitled "The Underbelly Project" and due to safety and preservation reasons, this gallery is inaccessible to the public (obviously, right?).
The Underbelly Project brought those aforementioned 100 artists to an abandoned, secret, and half-finished New York City subway station. Each artist was given one night to paint something.
Here's a sneak peek of some of the coolest, creepiest, most eccentric subway art around, hidden way down below NYC.
