Dumplings are a tried and true, bonafide New York staple that will never disappoint us.
...Weeeell, except for that one time with Prosperity Dumplings and the cockroa– BUT WHATEVER.
NYC loves dumplings so much that every year, we host a Dumpling Festival!
For the annual Dumpling Festival, now in its 13th year, head down to the LES' Sara D. Roosevelt Park on September 24th, for all the dumplings your heart could ever desire.
The festivities begin at noon and end at 5 p.m., and in that time, we challenge you to try all the available flavors (?) of dumpling-y goodness available – which will include Kung Pao Pork with Kimchi (YAAAS), Lemongrass, Buffalo Chicken, Edamame, and also Vegetable and Kale if you hate yourself (jk, kinda).
And before you feel bad about dropping your dough (GET IT?) on dumplings all day, money from the dumplings you purchase will go to to the Food Bank for NYC, so go forth and stuff your face for a good cause.
Other activities available include a Dumpling Making Class, live music, and photo ops with the Dumpling Festival's dumpling mascot, "Dumpling Mama."
If you consider yourself a pro, you can also enter the dumpling eating contest here, which will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

If you win, you'll be taking home $2,000–well worth the stomachache from scarfing down a couple dozen dumplings.
The $20 registration fee also goes to the Food Bank for NYC, so you should def start training with a few plates at one of these yummy places. *Queues up Eye of the Tiger*
