Mondays. They're kind of the worst, right?

If Mondays were weather, they'd be an overcast, freezing day, where we spend the whole day wishing we were in bed.

If Mondays were a time of day, they'd be like the times we wake up ten minutes right before our alarms are supposed to go off because we have to go to the bathroom.

Do you see what we're saying? We don't like them. However, just because we don't like Mondays doesn't mean we can't have a good time hitting the town in New York City on Monday nights.

1. Double Wide (505 East 12th Street)

Double Wide is one of the most lovely bars in the whole city. They've got incredible food, a wide variety of beers, and a friendly crowd of party people.

Also, Monday nights at Double Wide are even lovelier than any other night. Why, you ask? Well, Monday nights at Double Wide they've got $3 domestic beers, $4 craft beer and well drinks, and $5 frozen margaritas.

Don't even try to tell us that frozen margaritas don't improve your mood on Monday nights, because that's just an impossible declaration to make. Stop lying.

2. Fiddlesticks (56 Greenwich Avenue)

You have absolutely got to try the nachos at Fiddlesticks. They're some of our favorite nachos in NYC, and we've tried a lot of NYC nachos.

On another note, the happy hour on Monday nights at Fiddlesticks is extremely enjoyable, and lasts until 10 p.m. 

For only $3 at Fiddlesticks on Monday night, you can have any drink on the menu barring martinis and shots.

This makes it very easy to get very buzzed without spending a lot of money at all. Also, if you check in on Yelp you get a free shot, so that's always fun.

3. Cascabel Taqueria (1556 2nd Avenue)

All-you-can-eat buffet? Yes please.

At Cascabel Taueria, you can enjoy an unbelievable smorgasbord of unlimited tacos, wings, sangria, and Dos XX beer.

All of this deliciousness only costs $25 on Monday nights, so as you can imagine, it tends to pop off. Especially because the tacos are wondrously tasty in their own rite.

It's also got a totally laid back atmosphere, so while you're chugging your sangria and kicking back, you'll wonder why you ever hated Mondays to begin with.

4. Down the Hatch (179 West 4th Street)

Do you love playing games at bars? Great. They've got an entire room with tables for beer pong at Down the Hatch, so you can get your game face on with flair.

They've also got a pool table, if that's more your scene, and amazing prices on any day of the week.

Things get really crazy at Down the Hatch on Mondays, though. From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., every drink in the bar is half priced. Yes, that's right. All of the drink's prices are cut in half.

From 8 p.m. to close on Monday nights, they've got $4 drinks, shots, beers, and $9 pitchers. So, yeah, maybe Mondays aren't so terrible after all. Down the Hatch it is!

5. Calico Jack's Cantina (802 2nd Avenue)

At Calico Jack's Cantina, Mondays really don't suck that much. Why? Well, it definitely helps to throw back $3 margaritas and half-priced appetizers, doesn't it?

Yeah, it's sort of hard to be bummed about the Monday blues when you're munching on delicious quesadillas and dancing hard to great music.

It's also conveniently located in Midtown on the east side, so it's a good place to hit after work to drown your sorrows.

Get here between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Mondays to enjoy this excellent deal, and to prove maybe Mondays aren't the worst day of the week after all.

6. Amity Hall (80 West 3rd Street)

Do you love wings? Do you ever wish you could toss wings back with no regard for how many you've eaten or how many are left?

Well, if that's your situation then we have wonderful news for you. At Amity Hall they have endless wings, plus a beer bucket for $25.

Congratulations to Amity Hall for essentially winning Mondays. We also love how big Amity Hall's interior is, it could easily accommodate more than 150 people, and their truffle fries are absolutely off the chain.

7. Dempsey's (61 2nd Avenue)

This unpretentious bar is one big bundle of fun. There's plenty of dancing, plenty of seating, and very enjoyable prices.

Basically, it straddles the line between too divey and too pricey. It manages to land right in the middle there.

It's also a great spot to hit on Monday nights because they've got a $10 burger-and-beer deal. So, you can satisfy your appetite while satisfying your urge for a tasty, cold beer.

We're also pretty into the quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, and incredible music. Drinking at Dempsey's on a Monday night is definitely a victory.

8. Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room (986 2nd Avenue)

Drinks, fun, and food? Check, check, and one delicious check. If you want depressing Mondays to be a thing of the very distant past, you should definitely check out Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room.

They've got a $14 burger, fries, and draft beer deal every Monday night.

They also only turn on the sound on sports games for New York teams, which makes it much easier to represent NYC pride while enjoying those delicious French fries.

We've also got to point out that the polenta balls at Atwood Kitchen are basically unbelievable. Try one if you know what's good for you.
