The Absolute Best NYC Happy Hours by Neighborhood

Happy hour. It's just about the best thing their is for getting smashed in this city.

Why do we think so? Well, things in this city happen to be expensive, if you haven't noticed. We're guessing you've noticed.

Getting drunk during happy hour is the best thing you can do for your bank account in New York City.

That's why it's important to us for you to know about all the best deals. We care about your happiness and levels of fun, and we also care about your wallets.

That said, read on to find out where the best happy hour deals in the NYC are, by neighborhood.

1. Williamsburg: Allswell (124 Bedford Avenue - Brooklyn)

allswellnyc 💨BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR💨we all need need an extra layer everywhere today;) bundle up, be warm and eat well with some good energy. Thanks for sharing 📸 @aliceyuensnaps #neighborhood #williamsburg #chicken #sandwiches #yummy

Every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., All is well at Allswell. Want to know why?

We'll tell you, and it'll make you want to go there, like, yesterday. They've got a $7 beer-and-shot deal. Or, you can get tipsy on $4 craft beers.

That wasn't enough for you? Okay, we'll entice you with their $1 clams, $6 sandwiches, and $14 burger-and-beer combo, which, yes, does come with French fries.

2. Lower East Side: Full Circle Bar (318 Grand Street)

Full Circle Bar has a really special place in our hearts. There are other bars in the East Village that have a special place in our hearts, but probably none are as special to us as Full Circle Bar.

They have skee ball, lots of it, and they have free skee ball and a hotdog-with-your-beer deal on Thursdays. We know, getting a free hotdog with your already underpriced beer sounds like heaven. We told you we loved Full Circle Bar.

Seriously, it only costs $4 for a hotdog and your Genesee.

They've also got a Genesee plus a shot of bourbon for $4, and $5 well-drink specials, $9 frozen cocktails, and a dollar off all drafts during their 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. happy hour on weekdays.

Sunday night is the best though, since every drink from 11 p.m. to close costs $4. Still, this place stole our heart for the hotdogs. And the skee ball, but mostly the hotdogs.

3. East Village: Drop Off Service (211 Avenue A)

dropoffservice Damn, we're lookin' sexy tonight... ✌🏻️ #saturdaze #allofthebeers #eastvillage

We love Drop Off Service for a lot of reasons, one of which is their vibes, and another of which is their happy hour.

They've got half off drinks every weekday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., which is a huge win, since their drinks weren't that expensive to begin with.

So basically, you wind up spending $3 per beer. If you've spent anytime at all in NYC, you'll know that that price is basically unheard of.

Also, their draft list is huge, and also they're cash only, so make sure you come strapped with dollar bills.

4. West Village: Blind Tiger Ale House (281 Bleecker Street)

tylermbeast When it's before noon and you're thirsty from all the cronuts, find a bar with a fireplace #blindtigeralehouse

We're pretty sure this is the only relaxed bar left in the West Village. Okay, that's definitely an exaggeration, but it's definitely a gem in the midst of plenty of stuck-up, dress code required places.

Also, they have a chill happy hour, which is our favorite. If you head to Blind Tiger Ale House on the weekdays, you can get a dollar off all drafts, cask ale, wine, and prosecco from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It's got an amazing atmosphere, a huge variety of craft beers, and some really great grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup.

Oh, did we mention it's got a fireplace? Yeah, that's right, Blind Tiger Ale House has a fireplace in its paradise of craft beer and yummy bar food. Go there.

5. Upper West Side: The Mermaid Inn (570 Amsterdam Avenue)

alicialquarles Summer, summer, summer time. #MermaidInn Din Din

If you love oysters or alcohol, The Mermaid Inn is where you should spend your time. Since oysters and alcohol are both pretty great, we're guessing most people love them.

Everyday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. they've got dollar oysters, specialty cocktails for $7, and a special happy hour snack menu.

Since these oysters are delicious and sourced from the East and West Coasts, we definitely think you should get their to eat and drink your fill as soon as you can.

6. Upper East Side: The Penrose (1590 Second Avenue)

penrosebar Look at that focus! Jimmy's behind our back bar all night ready to shake up a La Lucia for you. #thepenrose #cocktails #uppereastside

The Penrose is one of the chillest bars on the Upper East Side. We won't say the chillest bar, because we have a special place in our heart for Supply House, but we will say that The Penrose's happy hour specials are superior.

They've got $5 draft beers during happy hour, and $6 house wine and well liquor drinks.

Combine these laughably inexpensive liquor drinks with some of the best, most elegant yet chill vibes in its neighborhood, we definitely have to give The Penrose thumbs up.

Their happy hour is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

7. Murray Hill: Cask Bar and Kitchen (167 East 33rd Street)

ny.state.of.mind brunch of champions... don't have mushroom for anything else... 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 #brunch #cask #casknyc #caskbarandkitchen #beer #kelsobeer #flatbread #mushroom #truffle #pizza #cityeats #nyceats #yum #delicious #foodporn #eat #foodie #hungry #instafood #bites #newforkcity #pint #eatme #eeeats #foodgram #instayum #nycfoodie #eatupnewyork #eatingnewyork #foodiepics #foodie

It's the best bar in Murray Hill, and we will stand by that statement until our dying breaths. Yes, we're being dramatic, but yes, we really mean it.

We mean, they've got lamb nachos. Come on, lamb nachos? We know. It's a novelty. They also have amazing Philly cheesesteak spring rolls, truffle mac and cheese, and bruschetta flatbread.

[anad2]

Oh, we also came here to talk about the happy hour, so we'll do that. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays they've got $7 cocktails and $6 glasses of wine. These prices are outlandish for this city, in a really delightful way.

They've also got $5 beers during happy hour. Since they have fancy craft beers here, it's a pretty good deal.

8. Hell's Kitchen: Bamboo 52

ginandjay_ Sushi Boat x Sake #bamboo52 #foodporn

Bamboo 52 is a sushi bar and lounge, and it's got a complete week of sick deals. Sick, as in good.

They've got $5 margaritas and sake bombs on Monday, and two-for-one for certain beers. This is great, because two-for-one beers are our favorite kinds of beers.

They've also got $5 sake sangria on Tuesday, two-for-one drinks for ladies on Wednesday (sorry guys), dollar oysters on Wednesdays, and $5 prosecco.

Going on a Thursday? That's great. They've got $5 mojitos all night on Thursday, two-for-one cocktails on Fridays, and a sushi happy hour which includes buy-two-rolls-get-the-third-free from midnight to 2 a.m. on Friday nights.

So, yeah, hitting Bamboo 52 late night on a Friday is a good idea.
