When we heard that the W train was coming back to New York City, like most MTA news, we weren't sure of what the timeline of that actually happening would be.

It's kind of like how no matter how much progress is made on the Second Avenue Subway, we won't really believe in it until we're standing on one of the train cars ourselves.

So we were taken aback when flyers appeared at Penn Station advertising that W service will start running on November 7th.

Service will run local on weekdays between Astoria- Ditmars Blvd and Whitehall St- South Ferry.

Of course, since we don't just get anything nice for free, the NQR trains will be all sorts of f*cked up now.

As reported by Gothamist, here are the changes:

On weekdays, N trains will be running express in Manhattan and local on late nights and weekends.

Q trains will only run between 57 St-7 Ave and Coney Island in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and will continue operating express in Manhattan.

Late night, service on the R train will extend to Manhattan and will go from Bay Ridge-95 St and Whitehall St. South Ferry.

Anyway, heads up to Brooklynites, don't forget that you can get uberPOOLs for $8 or less through the end of 2016– not a bad time to take advantage of that.
