Feelin' That Midtown Love: Get Ready to Fall in Love with 'W New York' All Over Again

Midtown Manhattan. Don’t you just love it? The crowds. The lights. The tourist trappings. Panhandlers, costumed goons, selfie sticks, and fast food.

Okay, so yeah, maybe it’s a bit ugly out there.

But do you remember Midtown back when it was cool? Does anybody?

Does anybody remember Midtown when it was cultured? When it was actually a destination, not a thruway; a place to go, not hide from. Seriously though. Asking for a friend...

W New York is bringing back everything we used to love about Midtown: sophistication, and a revitalized passion for the sheer richness of art and culture with their monthly event series, Midtown Love.

It's possible that this particular version of Midtown Manhattan might have only been a dream, a figment of our imaginations; something we waited for, but never found.

It's possible, but unlikely. All of this negativity bundled up and then rolled out over an entire neighborhood of Manhattan. It's not fair, it's not right, and it's certainly not accurate.

So where does that leave us? Simple. It leaves us with the possibility to change what we've long thought about Midtown. It leaves us with the opportunity for change. Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Right.

Only thing is Midtown never needed it because it was always great, we'd just fallen out of love. So, get ready to fall in love with Midtown all over again each and every month at W New York on Lexington Avenue.

With great drink specials you can chase down with an absolutely breathtaking view of Manhattan, The Living Room is one of Midtown’s understated happy hour spots.

Of course, you get so used to hating everything about Midtown that somewhere along the lines you forget what a good time in that ‘hood even looks like. Time to rediscover what that means every month.

Whether it's slick fashion takeovers, album release parties, happy hours or low key soirées celebrating the artist, the W New York's monthly Midtown Love series is bringing life back to what we might have just assumed was dead and gone.

There’s an inescapable energy and vibe that clings to the threads of your shirt if you just remember for a second that it’s not a Hell hole. It’s the home of the MoMa. It’s Central Park. It’s a bustling hub with tiny pockets of art and soul you can just climb into for as long as you’d like.

Midtown is more than Times Square, but that seems to be all that anyone ever talks about. Now, with W New York, we get to change that conversation every month.

Every month, in Midtown’s W New York classy AF cocktail lounge, The Living Room, there’s a reason to come to Midtown East rather than pass right through, and there you’ll find more than a few reasons to love it.

It starts with you, and us, and the artists, and the wild, weird entrepreneurial dreamers of fashion, photography, music, and art to change that.

June 9th we're doing just that: showcasing the dreams and work of some of NYC's most brilliant photographers. It's going to be an intimate gathering of a handful of artists and their closest friends and deepest admirers who truly love and appreciate both what they have done and what they're still dreaming of doing.

Join us. Rediscover all that there is to love about Midtown.
