Watchin' the Rolls: The Original Sushi-Burrito Chain Is Coming to NYC to Claim Its Throne

Get excited New York, the O.G sushi burrito is making its way to the East Coast.

Sushiritto prides itself as the first establishment to serve the delicious sushi burrito crossover to which the chain owes its name.

The San Francisco native chain will reportedly be opening up its first East Coast location in the Flatiron District of New York City.

In mid-July, New Yorkers will be able to enjoy the eight different dishes Sushiritto has to offer.

While an official New York menu has not been released, the location is likely to feature some of Sushiritto's classics - such as the Sumo Crunch ($10.50), their take on the classic shrimp tempura roll featuring shaved cabbage, ginger guac, and sriracha aioli.

Sushiritto's New York location will have to face local competition, such as Pokéworks - another restaurant known on the streets for serving up sushi burritos.

In fact, we even reviewed Pokéworks' take on the sushi burrito. It was pretty, pretty, pretty... terrible.
