New York City isn't really known for our barbecue.
However, last year Time Out named Mighty Quinn"s and BrisketTown as two of the best 21 BBQ joints in the country.
Recently, The Commercial Observer reported that Mighty Quinn's Barbeque will be expanding to a new location in Staten Island's Empire Outlets.
Apparently, Mighty Quinn's will occupy a 2,575 foot space on the second floor of the marketplace, joining around 40-50 other dining establishments, though Mighty Quinn's will have a view of the skyline and outdoor seating.
A co-founder of Mighty Quinn's Micha Magid stated, "[we] look forward to becoming a part of this unique project and bringing our style of BBQ to the Empire Outlets."
According to Eater, the NYC BBQ aficionados signed a 15-year lease at $100-per-square-foot.

Apart from Mighty Quinn's, Empire Outlets could potentially house a 2,000 square-foot Starbucks.
Mighty Quinn's currently has four locations in Manhattan, two in Brooklyn, and one in New Jersey, so this will be their first venture to Staten Island.

The Empire Outlets are expected to open in 2017, which may put the forgotten borough back on the map.
Some of the stores that are slated to open in the Empire Outlets are Nordstrom Rack, H&M, Banana Republic Factory Store, and Gap Outlet.
