Smorgasburg at the South Street Seaport Officially Returns Memorial Day Weekend! | spoiled NYC

The South Street Seaport’s edition of Smorgasburg will resume on the unofficial start of summer, with a few changes.

The market, which returns May 27, will have six vendors once again, but only Cemitas el Tigre (10-layer Mexican sandwiches), Lumpia Shack (Filipino spring rolls), and Red Hook Lobster Pound (because what’s summer without lobster rolls?) are returning.

New to the Seaport will be Vendy winner Home Frite with their Belgian fries and craveable sauces, Landhaus sandwiches (and, presumably, their famous maple bacon sticks), and Instagram sensation Wowfulls’ Hong Kong-style egg waffle cones filled with ice cream and fun toppings like Pocky sticks.

One big change is that instead of the cool translucent pods that housed vendors last year, they’ll move inside Fulton Market Building (11 Fulton St.), which will have indoor seating in addition to the outdoor benches.

The Patio Bar is also returning and will remain outdoors, with coffee service as well as beer and boozy slushes, though it will close an hour before the rest of the market.
