Unless you live in a completely insulated environment, cordoned off from society, you know it snowed a lot this weekend.
In fact, Storm Jonas hit the city with a vengeance, draping our streets, conquering the sidewalks, and leaving 26.8 inches of snow behind-- nearly a record for New York City.
Governor Cuomo declared a state of emergency on Saturday, issued a travel ban on the city, prohibited the LIRR, Metro-North, and exterior subway lines from running, and banned civilian driving at 2:30 p.m.
The travel ban ended at 7 a.m. on Sunday.
Still, that didn't stop some wild daredevils from hooking themselves to the back of a car and snowboarding down New York City's streets.
"This was a truly historic storm, and while we have made good progress we are not done working yet," said Governor Andrew Cuomo in a press release. "I want to thank the incredible people who worked around the clock responding to the storm."
On a more somber note, three people in NYC suffered heart attacks while shoveling snow during Storm Jonas, and later died. Two other shoveling deaths occurred on Long Island.
The storm fell just one tenth of an inch short of the snowfall record set in 2006. Jonas measured 26.8 inches in Central Park, while 2006's storm measured 26.9 inches.

200 people crashed cars in the city, countless bottles of wine were drunk, plenty of kids' sleds were broken, and lots of of NYC puppies had the time of their lives.
Storm Jonas also resulted in the birth of an unbelievable number of snowmen.
