It's Official: NYC Sanitation Dept. Just Issued the First Official Snow Alert for Tuesday

Get prepared, New Yorkers... it's coming. You know what we're talking about. Winter

Sanitation officials have officially issued a snow alert ahead of expected precipitation in New York City.

The Department of Sanitation says in a statement Monday agencies have been alerted for possible snow beginning Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Officials say agencies should prepare for a potential response to heavy downfall by loading salt spreaders and lining up personnel as needed.

Right... sigh.
