What's that sh*t hipsters are known for? Thinking something was cool before it was cool?
We know, we know. They've been listening to Phish 20 years longer than anyone ever should, Cherry Garcia is more than just a clever pun for Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and yeah, someone managed to make those fart noises of dubstep into pop music 7 years after they "called it."
So what about something that was actually cool before it was cool?
We're talking about No.8, the hottest and best-kept secret in NYC nightlife.
No.8 is a beautiful lounge in the heart of Chelsea's art district, serving up incredible cocktails and a vibe oozing of the swanky and posh.
But wait, how the hell is something actually cool before it was cool?
Brace yourselves-- because we're about to drop some knowledge on you. What do you know about the Beverly Hills Hotel? The Pink Palace? Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart and the Rat Pack, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Milkens, and the "No Wives Parties"-- what do you know about the "No-Tell Motel"?
We're guessing nothing. It's okay, that's nothing to be ashamed of. You didn't know, and why should you? That was so last century. But this isn't a history lesson.
What you need to know-- and this is on a need-to-know basis-- is that LDV Hospitality brought that ritzy vibe from the Beverly Hills into Chelsea, and it's a totally amazing experience.
No.8, named after the Beverly Hills Hotel's Bungalow No. 8, is everything you'd expect from the West Coast in all of its throwback class and debauchery.
Of course, naturally, when it comes to dripping with class, by definition, you get the classiest of clientele. But this isn't a gawker lounge. This isn't a touristy spectacle. This is on the DL.
It's a place of privacy and discretion for those who want to throw down without abandon-- you see, every major celebrity from Sam Smith to Rihanna frequent this hotspot while in New York City.

So, all that being said, we decided we're straight up actin' a fool... on Friday, April 1st. April Fool's Night. We're getting loud, lit, weird, and wild with a one-hour open bar, thanks to our good friends over at Tequila Avión and The Hidden Sea Wines.
Hold on, say what? Open bar? With wine and tequila? Sh*t, we should have led with that.
Agreed. We'll lead with the strong stuff from now on, and Tequila Avión is definitely amongst the best tequilas out there. On top of that, this is just the first in a long line of monthly spoiled soirées we're now throwing. That's right. Get. Stoked.
What about some more free stuff? How about some long-awaited spoiled NYC t-shirts? And if you wear your sunglasses at night so you can, so you can... well, we got you covered there, too.
So what'd we learn here? Bungalow No. 8 at the Beverly Hills Hotel was one of the great secrets of debauchery and craziness from way back in the day, and No.8 in Chelsea is where it's at these days, and one of these days-- April Fool's Night, to be precise-- spoiled NYC is throwin' it down there.
Does this sound even remotely like something you'd want to miss? Avión Tequila, The Hidden Sea Wines, one-hour open bar, and we're literally giving you some t-shirts off our backs (well, not literally but you know what we mean there).
Yeah, so get your tickets right here and we'll see you there. Of course, it's unlikely that you'll remember we ever even met, so... until we meet again.
Next month, right? Cool. See you then.
