The arrival of warmer months means there's a lot to look forward to; vacations, beach trips, and finally trading in our winter gear for flip flops and shorts.

But for New Yorkers, spring also means the reappearance of one of our favorite seasonal pastimes - outdoor food festivities.

Between restaurants reopening their patios and the return of festivals like Madison Square Eats, there is no shortage of opportunities to bask in the beautiful (while sometimes temperamental) weather while enjoying some of the city's best dishes.

So if you're a barbecue fanatic (which let's be real, most of us are), make sure to mark down the weekend of June 11th in your calendars, because The Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is returning to Madison Square Park.

Although the event did not rake in as much money as anticipated last year, the BABBP plans to once again gather barbecue masters from all across the U.S. in Madison Square Park.

Aside from providing New Yorkers with some top notch BBQ deliciousness, the proceeds from the event will also benefit the Madison Square Park Conservancy.

Vendors are not yet confirmed, but the Block Party is sure to be jam packed with some of the best barbecue around, and for a great cause at that.
